Theatre Uncut

Participation Map

Since 2011 Theatre Uncut has commissioned high profile leading and emerging playwrights to create short plays which explore important political or social issues. These plays are released for free to be performed by anyone, anywhere in the world.

To date, over 6000 people in 26 countries across 4 continents have performed Theatre Uncut plays, in community centres, schools, universities, theatres and on the streets. All the plays explore current social and political issues and aim to encourage debate and post-show discussion.

In order to present the global scale of their work online for the very first time, with a view to attracting new audiences, funders and participants, Theatre Uncut have partnered with The Space to release a new website and interactive participation map to bring together images, films and information on participants across the world.

The map is currently being updated and will include Participant Pins for companies and organisations who have been involved in Theatre Uncut productions worldwide with links to any content they have generated. Event Pins to indicate upcoming participant events with links through to booking and further info and Writer Pins to mark the location of the 37 high profile writers along with image, quote and biography. If you’ve been involved with Theatre Uncut add your events, images, or suggest any updates to the map here.

For more on Theatre Uncut check out their new website theatreuncut.com or Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Pages.

Theatre Uncut’s The Power Plays will be available for anyone anywhere to download and perform free of charge until the end of June 2018.
