An introduction
In a landmark archive project for The Space, Arena, – the BBC’s multi award winning arts documentary series – has turned its own unique archive into a hotel, a treasure trove of over 600 films going back to 1975. Modelled on the memorable Chelsea Hotel, New York, the haunt of some of the most famous a stars of all time, the Arena Hotel offers a unique experience in leisure and entertainment.

Dine with Andy Warhol and William Borroughs in the restaurant, swim with Pete Doherty in the rooftop pool, share a pint with Terry Venables in the bar, say a prayer with Amy Winehouse and Sister Wendy in the hotel chapel, have afternoon tea with Ozzy Osbourne in the tea room, dance to the best of Texan Swing in the ballroom and for the nighthawks there is Cabaret and song in the Arena Nightclub.
