An animated documentary about nonagenarian George Weedon. Filmmaker Kate Sullivan balances her animation with live action documentary to tell the story of George’s glory days as a gymnast representing Britain in the 1948 Olympics and explore the passions that he still holds today.


As part of the BFI’s commitment to supporting emerging talent, BFI Shorts aims to provide opportunities for filmmakers to demonstrate their potential. From quirky animations, shocking comedies and thrilling genre movies to thought-provoking dramas and moving documentaries, this collection celebrates great emerging talent among Britain’s shorts filmmakers.
