This week it’s the letter D and John Peel’s wife and Patron of the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts, Sheila Ravenscroft, introduces Dick Dale from John’s celebrated record collection.

Dick is unwell, but agreed to be interviewed from his home in California and this interview is inter-cut with footage from his live performance of Misirlou on Later with Jools Holland.

As part of the creation of the interactive online museum, The Space is showcasing details of some of the 25,000 vinyl LPs and turning the spotlight on one of those artists.
