Nigerian-born Theo Ogundipe played the Soothsayer in Gregory Doran’s RSC production of Julius Caesar, set in sub-Saharan Africa. Pinny Grylls’ short film captured him in Stratford, as his clay make-up was applied before a performance, talking about his childhood in Nigeria, the relevance of the play to contemporary Africa and the inspiration he’s found for his role in mystical and ritualistic elements in African societies.
