BT River of Music
On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd July 2012, BT River of Music welcomed the world to London with celebration of global music at six sites along the Thames.
The two-day free event was as a curtain-raiser for the sporting celebrations to follow and featured artists representing all Olympic and Paralympic nations, from the largest nations to the tiniest island.

BT River of Music formed part of the London 2012 Festival, a 12-week nationwide celebration which ran from June 21st 2012 until the final day of the Paralympic Games on 9th September 2012. BT River of Music was supported by National Lottery Funds through the Olympic Lottery Distributor and Arts Council England and was produced by Serious. The London 2012 Festival celebrated the huge range, quality and accessibility of the UK’s world-class culture, giving the opportunity for People across the UK to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
