The Trojans: The background

The Trojans (Les Troyens) by Hector Berlioz, which was performed at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden on July 5 and streamed live here at The Space.

This production, directed by David McVicar and conducted by Antonio Pappano, is on stage at the Royal Opera House till July 11th and will later travel to Vienna, Milan and San Francisco.

The epic opera was written between 1856 and 1858 and is based on based on Virgil’s Aeneid.
